AbstractAccording to Doyle-Yamaguchi, urban agriculture can be practical, feasible and tangible. She and other UBC students created exhibits to showcase successful projects, such as the Food Gardens Foundation (South Africa) and the Natural Growth Project (London, England) and technical solutions regarding, space, and materials. This includes using found materials to create vertical growing structures, solar disinfection water systems, and the cultivation of herbs to improve the quality of life.
